Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but the outside Tiki Bar portion went up in flames today! Burn completely!

The food tasted great and the restaurant was very clean. The steak and fries were worth the money. Our server was very friendly. The only complaint was that the food took a little longer to get than I would have liked. I would go back. The outside bar is still in the process of being rebuilt but it looks like they are trying to get it up and running and they do have a temp bar in the meantime. The bartenders are very friendly. The mixed drinks can be a little pricey but is comparable to hotel bar prices.

As I'm writing this review I'm imagining the delicious hamburger I ate here a few days ago and wish I had another in front of me, but I will share my experience and dream of the day I can return. I went here mainly because restaurants dot com was offering a coupon here and I am so glad I went. This restaurant is located inside the Holiday Inn Resort and if you go you need to park across the street in the Red Fish Blue Fish parking lot (same owners I'm told) but is only about a 5 minute walk or less. We all ordered hamburgers and everyone could only say good things about them. They were awesome. We went with the pick any three toppings option for $11 a plate and customized the burgers to our liking and they did not disappoint. I would definitely eat here again, no question. Server was also very nice and good and kept our drinks filled and it wasn't busy when we went which was nice. If you are in the mood for a good Hamburger this is the place. Thanks!

Aaron the bartender is amazing! When our waitress was far less than par, he stepped in and salvaged the experience for the entire party. If not for him we would have given 1 star and never returned. Our waitress name was Angela. HORRIBLE!!

My husband and I just got into town and we wanted to watch the Dallas Cowboys game. Being the good wife I am, found this place and hoped with "sports grill" in the name, they were showing the game. The bar had 2 TVs and 1 wasn't working, but the 2 booths at the bar had their own personal TV with remote. The bartender found the game for us, told us what channel and even gave us a little tutorial on the remote (it was an odd remote). We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which came in a bread bowl and tasted like it came from a can. The Cesar salad had a ton of Parmesan cheese on it and lots of dressing. I ordered the crawfish burger, but only are the burger part, the rest wasn't very good. My husband ordered the wings and they were excellent and inexpensive.. My burger was a little more than I would have spent back home, but we were on vacation. I would only go back if we wanted to watch a sports game and only order the wings.

Great services and the kids had a great time. Loved how the staff worked very hard to make sure my grandkids liked what they ordered. Four stars for the service and staff. Food was good too

This sea side bar is really all about fun, food, and service. We tried the mouth watering BBQ burger which was outstanding. We ordered the wings that were fantastic, but ask for the Sriracha on the side for a delightful kick. Bree is a fabulous bar tender who made our trip one of the most memorable. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Not a lot to say about this place. The food wasn't horrible. But it certainly wasn't spectacular. The Grouper Sandwich was a good portion size. But something about it was off. Maybe it was the sweet bread it comes on that was too overpowering. I have had their burgers and those were much better.

During most of visit to Pensacola I pretty much had horrible service. This was the first place where the service was a lot better. Our hostess and waitress were both very sweet. The waitress answered all our questions and was very patient with my extremely indecisive cousin. She even gave suggestions, broke down ingredient to ensure my cousin make some of the best choices. I was very pleased with her attentiveness. The starter we went with was the Short Board Ribs which were YUMMY! I just wanted to eat all the sauce in the world. It was very delicious and I wished I had actually ordered the ribs as an entree. For my entree I went with the Typhoon Mixed Grill which consisted of marinated grilled strip steak topped with herbed butter and Asian sesame grilled shrimp. The shrimp were truly wonderful and I wished I had more than three. As for my steak I asked for medium well, but they definitely sent me out well done and it just wasn't the most flavorful as I expected. Although it was definitely a considerable portion of steak that was offered up. My cousin went with the Gulf Basket which included the fresh catch of the day, shrimp, and calamari and oysters fried to perfection and served with tartar and cocktail sauce. She seemed to enjoy the shrimp and oysters, not the fish so much as it was not so flavorful. I did enjoy stealing her calamari which was pretty tasty and normally I'm not a big fan. Riptides is in a great location inside of the Holiday Inn Resort on the main strip for the beach. If dining outside it's a great food of seeing family and kids playing in the pool as well as see out onto the beach. It was nice breezy and relaxing evening eating at this location.

Showed up around 4:30 PM and sat at the small bar area in the restaurant. Waited over 20 minutes before anyone asked about me. The restaurant had only 1 table of 4 and one of 2. The table of four appeared to be investors because all of them walked behind the bar and one of them talked to the others about the appliances, seating capacity etc. Service was non-existent. Perhaps Chef Ramsey should have a talk with the waitstaff? I must admit that the food we ordered (when it finally showed up) was pretty good. Popcorn shrimp (according to a 9-yr old) was AWESOME. Shrimp and salad was above average although the appetizer of shrimp and bruschetta was incredibly soggy. I'll go back...maybe. If only the service was better. Even sitting in site of the hotel desk didn't help.

Our waitress, Megan, was super nice. However, the food was awful, simply tasteless. We tried the fish tacos, Philly Cheese sausage contraption, and their cheese and beer soup. None of it was worth eating. They do have burgers and other sandwiches on the menu that may have been better.

Great food and service. Had breakfast. Food was hot and nutricious. Sherita the great service waitress was very friendly and helpful. She really cares about the restaurant and making sure that I was taken care of. I will definitely eat here again.

This review pertains only to this sphincter of a bar on the St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl of 2013. I went last year and it probably would have rated 3 stars then, but this year was simply an offense against the propriety of good manners and hospitality. Two bartenders? You had known for weeks, if not months, what time hundreds of people would be at your bar. You had time to plan and schedule sufficient staffing for such a thing. It was your time to shine, make a good impression, and perhaps give locals a reason to return. You failed. Miserably, you failed. Two bartenders? Pfft. Even if I elect to attend the pub crawl next year and your caricature of a serious business was on the list of stops, I will not be there. You deserve ridicule and scorn for your mistreatment of (in my case, potential) customers. Additionally, you had the smallest $4 draft beers that I had ever seen, anywhere, any time. WTF were those cups, 8 ounces? Making an allowance for foam, the plastic cups might have held 6 ounces, which just makes me want to point and laugh at you silly wannabe grifters. I stood at the bar for 10 minutes, assessed the situation, and left without dropping a cent in your bar. I hope that your hotel functions more smoothly and that its costs are more reasonable than what I was offered today. But even if hopes match reality, you can be assured that I won't ever recommend you as a destination for my out-of-town friends. Pfft.

We were staying at the hotel and ate here several times. The burgers and fries were great and very reasonably priced. The service was always very good. I would not recommend the deep fried cookie dough, way too sweet but the staff did warn us:-). The tiki bar had a great atmosphere but we watched it burn down yesterday:-(

Stayed in the Holiday Inn Resort where this restaurant is located. Had a lunch and also a brunch here. It was off season so not too busy. The lunch was basic fare, sandwiches, salads and burgers. The server was very pleasant and we enjoyed our lunch. Coffee is served in a large pot that stays on the table for refills which I liked. Brunch was less than good. It was a buffet and we noticed yogurts and milk cartons with expiration dates that had expired. We notified the server and she immediately removed them. It was a bit pricey for the items served but on the beach in a resort hotel this is what they do. The coffee bar was horrible. The girl preparing coffee took a long time and a line was forming while she tended to other duties. The muffin I purchased was raw inside and neither the coffee or the muffin was inexpensive. In the evening we had a cocktail at the bar and the decor was great with a surf theme. Probably would not have another brunch there.

Great place to eat breakfast by the beach. The buffet has really good bacon and fresh fruit! They will also bring you fresh pancakes or waffles.

I have never experienced a restaurant inside a hotel that wow'd me. This was no exception. A bland menu, and a little pricy too. It is nice that the kids eat free which makes up for it a bit. We ate there at breakfast which was decent, better than dinner. It's more of a last resort for a meal.

We had nachos and fries for a group of 5 to share. Good portion size and pretty good for being in a hotel. Definitely hit the spot for everyone as we lounged by the pool and had a couple beers.

Great place for quick service food while staying at the holiday Inn. Kids under 12 eat breakfast for free. Coffee is available in the lobby in the mornings so a plus there. The buffet is a typical eggs, bacon, grits and breakfast breads and cold cereal. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs. The bacon rivals that of 4 star restaurants so take plenty of that. The grits was pretty good even went back for seconds and I hardly ever eat grits. The muffins and croissants were stale. The French toast sticks was also good. We came at 10:30 towards the end of breakfast (11am) so we missed the omelettes and whatever else they had out. This place also serves food for the bar and pool area as well throughout the day. There is a small bar inside the restaurant (really small). This place is very casual so if you plan to do a dress up dinner make dining plans elsewhere.

Bar food inside the hotel...was pretty darn good!! Cheaper than the fancy burgers in the other hotels. This one was actually banging. I walked by a couple that order a bundle full of crawfish and potatoes and crab legs. Looked delicious!!

Ate here twice during my stay. The chicken tender Po boy was great! The fries were also super delicious! Service was so- so depending on who you got. Connor the first time we ate was WONDERFUL! Hustled and was super nice. However I ate at the bar the second time and was less than impressed with them ignoring me the whole time And even forgetting my food. Whatever I guess

We went there last night from a front desk recommendation at our hotel. This place is terrible. We knew from our appetizers straight away that something was off. Very cheap ingredients. Slapped together. Ordered the Mahi Mahi pasta.... it was like they just dumped an entire jar of spice in it. Do not go here unless you want to eat poorly and yet still pay for it.

Is it a bar? Is it a restaurant? It's a small sports bar venue associated with and inside the Holiday Inn Resort. Decent but fundamental menu includes savory, delicately flavored crab cakes crisply caramelized with remoulade (on the side) placed on an avocado pureé. Hummus with Pita Wedges comes as a very generous portion. Several brews on tap...I especially liked the Pensacola Bay Brewery "Rip Tide Amber"... "Please, sir may I have another?"

I'm giving this hotel restaurant a four star for their service. Man do those girls work it and super nice. My husband said they have great hamburgers and I love, love, loved the fries and let me tell you I almost never eat French fries. Drinks are ok but the specials seem to have less kick than the previous day when they were not on special. Really not a bad place to eat while hanging out at the pool and taking in those great beach views and gulf air. And I can't express enough how nice he staff are.

Much better than anyone would expect for a restaurant inside a Holiday Inn. Sweet potato tots, beer cheese soup, and a fried cookie dough burrito. What more needs to be said? They were all delicious, and where else are you going to find such creativity in a restaurant?

I have to admit, I was surprised by this place. It's located inside the Holiday Inn on the island, and I expected the typical mediocre hotel fare, but they could give [nearly] any other restaurant on the beach a run for their money. Small place, not meant to accommodate large crowds, and the ambience was nothing impressive, but this place does the food right. I had a fried seafood platter that easily could have been three meals, and every item (REAL grouper, shrimp, oysters & kalamari) was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The service took them down a notch, though. Not particularly busy the evening we were there, but our server acted so frazzled you'd think she had 30 or 40 tables to handle.
